A breezy morning for much of the UK and Ireland. There will be some showery bursts of rain in northern England and Wales, this slipping into the Midlands and southwest England. Drier in southern and southeast England although rather cloudy, a scattering of showers in the afternoon. Showers in western Scotland and northwest England as well as the far north of Ireland. Sunny spells to with the best of them in the east. Turning much cooler to the air and north with tops at 12C in western Scotland, 20C in southeast England.

Wednesday Night
A few spots of rain clearing from southeast England this evening. Some showers blowing into the west of Scotland and western Ireland. Other areas will have dry weather with some broken cloud and clear spells as the wind ease. Lows near 7C in central Scotland, 8 to 10C for most, 13C in the southeast.
 

Thursday
A cold front bringing rain to southern and eastern Scotland, Ireland and northern England as well as parts of Wales on Thursday morning. This slips south into the Midlands in the afternoon, although the rain showery by then. Southern England stays dry with bright or sunny spells. Showers in the north and west of Scotland will continue in the afternoon, most of them well scattered. Drier for eastern and southern Scotland as well as northern and west Ireland. Highs at 14C in western Scotland, 23C in southeast England.

Friday
Higher pressure building through Friday. This gives broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells to much of England, Wales, Ireland, southern and eastern Scotland. Showers in northern and western Scotland as well as northern coasts of Ireland. Breezy in northern Scotland too. Highs at 22C in southeast England, 14C in northern Scotland.
