Rain and showers

Monday
Low pressure remains over the UK and Ireland on Monday but as a more weakened feature by now. Rain will mainly affect northern and eastern parts of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, southwest England and central southern England. Some showers in the east but largely dry with sunny intervals elsewhere. Breezy still in the far south and in parts of the west. High temperatures at 11 to 16C.


Monday Night
Overnight, the low pressure centres over Scotland pulling in showers or longer spells of rain across much of the western and southern half of the country on a brisk westerly to northwesterly wind. Scotland and northern England will also see some showers but with drier conditions in the east. With plenty of cloud about lows will range between 7 to 12C.
 


Tuesday
The low pressure centre sits over Scotland on Tuesday. It will be a blustery day across much of England, Wales and Ireland where there will also be showers, these potentially merging into longer spells of rain at times. Some sunny spells too. Lighter winds further north with more in the way of drier and brighter conditions although western areas will still be prone to showers. Highs at 11 to 16C.


Wednesday
A westerly flow prevails midweek while low pressure sits close by to northern Scotland. A breezy day for the north with rain in the far north of Scotland and showers across western areas of the UK and Ireland. Driest and brightest conditions in the south and east. Maximum temperatures at 11 to 16C.
