Monday
A general area of low pressure over southeastern England will have a complex frontal system wrapped around it, with some areas of persistent heavy rain through the day. Slow-moving showers with a risk of local thunder will affect northern and western Britain, most widespread by afternoon. Scattered showers for Ireland. There will be some dry and bright weather too, although a lot of cloud for the country as a whole. A fresh westerly breeze in the southwest. Highs 15 to 21C.

Monday night
Some bursts of rain will continue into the evening and night, especially for East Anglia and the southeast, with some patchy residual rain for Scotland too. Most rain will tend to fizzle out through the night, leaving many places dry. A lot of cloud, plus some mist patches forming. A brisk northwesterly breeze around many coasts. Temperatures mild in the south and east at 13 to 15C, lows nearer 9 to 12C further north and west.

Tuesday
Pressure begins to build from the west, but low pressure is still nearby to the southeast. A risk of rain for a time in Kent and Sussex, but should clear. A good deal of dry weather with variable cloud and sun, but still a risk of scattered showers forming by the afternoon, mainly central-southern Scotland, Pennine areas and Wales, these quite hit and miss. Western coasts becoming sunnier. A brisk northerly breeze in the south and east. Highs 18 to 22C and quite humid.

Wednesday
High pressure influences the south of Britain and Ireland resulting in a fair and warm day for many. Fronts drift into western Scotland bringing more cloud here, plus some rain or drizzle developing. Cloud filling in a little during the day inland, and some western coasts may become cloudier. A light westerly breeze, although stronger breezes toward the northwest. Only 16C in the far northwest, but widely up to a humid 22 to 25C across central, southern and eastern areas.
