A wet afternoon in south
Scattered showers to north

Saturday
A breezy morning across Scotland and Ireland with some heavy showers in the west. There could be a few cracks of thunder mixed with the showers. Eastern areas of Scotland and much of Ireland should be drier with sunny spells, just a few showers in the afternoon, especially in eastern and southern Scotland. Much dry weather for northern England and Wales with sunny spells to start the day. Despite a dry start in southern England, cloud and outbreaks of rain will be arriving in the early afternoon, this edging slowly northwards and becoming more persistent, leading to a wet evening. Highs at 17 to 24C.

Saturday Night
An area of heavy rain moves through southern England and into the Midlands and East Anglia this evening and overnight. The rain not clearing eastern areas of England until the morning. Scattered showers affecting western coasts and hills, but drier weather with clearer spells elsewhere. Lows near 8 to 12C.

Sunday
Low pressure dominates on Sunday, this being centred across Scotland. There will be heavy showers, merging to longer spells of rain at times, and most of these affecting northern and western parts of the UK and Ireland. The showers tending to be more scattered in the east and southeast with any morning rain clearing quickly from northeast England. The best of any sunshine in the east. Highs at 17 to 22C.

Monday
Low pressure remains to the north of Scotland on Monday. This brings a further day of sunshine and showers across most of Scotland, Ireland, western Wales and much of northwest England. There will be less showers in southern, eastern and central parts of England as well as eastern Wales with the best sunshine here and some of these areas staying dry throughout the day. Highs at 17 to 23C.
