Rain and showers central Europe but fair in the far north and south


Saturday
A few isolated showers may linger over the far north of Spain on Saturday but across Iberia, the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia it should otherwise be a dry and sunny day. A bright day for Italy with a scattering of showers. Hazy sunshine for Greece and Turkey with cloud thickening enough through the afternoon for the odd shower or spot of rain to develop.
Saturday sees some bands of heavy rain working southeastward across France with showers following behind. It will be windy in the north. Windy and wet for the Low Countries too as an area of low pressure approaches from the UK. Showers will also affect Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic with some particularly heavy bursts around the Alps.
A band of heavy rain will develop through the day extending across southern Norway, northern Denmark and southern Sweden. Elsewhere it will be showery over southern Denmark and the Baltic States, mostly dry and bright for Finland and central and northern parts of Norway and Sweden.

Sunday
Fair with plenty of sunshine and warm weather in Spain and Portugal. Staying fair in the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. The risk of some showers in northern Italy, a few of them heavy. Greece should be dry with more sunshine. Showers developing in Turkey, again these are likely to be heavy.
Rain in northern and eastern France, but fair in the west and south. Rain for the Low Countries, some of that heavy. Rain for the far west of Germany, but bright spells and drier in the east. Poland will be fair to the west but some rain in eastern areas. Eastern Hungary will have rain, but fair in the west. Heavier showers and a risk of rain in western Austria and Switzerland.
The risk of some showers across Denmark and the fair south of Norway. Breezy with sunny spells for the Baltic States. Fair, chilly and sunny in Finland. Most of Sweden, except the fair south should be dry and sunny with similar weather away from the far south of Norway.
