Unsettled weather continues in the west; stormy in the eastern Med
Showers, with a band of particularly heavy rain embedded, will spread eastward across Portugal and Spain through the day reaching the Balearics by Friday evening. A mostly dry and bright day for Corsica, Sardinia and Italy though some heavy showers could still impact southern parts of Italy and Sicily. Heavy rain and gusty winds will move into Greece from the west through the afternoon while any morning showers over Turkey should ease to leave a mostly dry and bright afternoon.
A mostly dry but overcast day for France though some showers may develop over western and southern areas. Overcast too for the Low Countries with a chance of showers in the Netherlands. Rain will ease over western Germany to leave an overcast but dry afternoon while Poland and the Czech Republic will see some good sunny spells with a chance of a few spots of light rain. Snow will ease for the Swiss Alps to leave a bright and dry day on Friday.
A fair day for Denmark - cloudier in the south with the best chance of sunshine in the north. A dry and bright day too for the Baltics. Early showers should ease for Finland to leave a dry and mostly bright day. Southern parts of Sweden could see some snow showers while it will be a mostly dry and bright day for Norway with snow showers spreading into eastern areas later in the day.
Saturday will be a rather wet day across Portugal and Spain with some snow falling over higher ground. Some particularly heavy burst of rain are expected in the northwest though showers are expected to ease before they reach the Balearics. After a dry and bright morning a band of rain will spread across Corsica and Sardinia and a few scattered showers will affect western parts of Italy. Further heavy rain is expected for Greece on Saturday while persistent rain will also affect southwestern parts of Turkey.
Another overcast day for France with a band of showers sweeping from southwest to northeast, becoming increasingly light and fragmented in nature through the day. Some good sunny spells for Germany and the Low Countries where it will be a mostly dry day - a chance of a light spot of rain for the Netherlands and western Germany.
Scattered showers affecting Denmark while it will be a dry and fine day for Finland and the Baltic States. A band of rain and snow will ease northward across Norway and Sweden leaving a dry and fair afternoon in the south.
