Rain in eastern Europe, showers for Italy, better north and south


Saturday
Mainly dry with some sunny spells and pleasantly warm across Spain and Portugal Portugal still into Saturday as the fine and very warm, if not locally hot conditions continue here. Indeed, much of the Med will be mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells and pleasantly warm as well, with plenty of sunshine in places.
Some rain is forecast across more eastern areas of Europe, perhaps with some thundery downpours and heavy showers for parts of the far east of Europe, perhaps especially for Moldova and also into some western areas of Russia, for example too. Still quite warm across Eastern areas of Europe as well.
Denmark will have a fair day with some sunny spells and it will be dry. Staying mainly dry in Sweden too with some sunny spells, but a few scattered showers can't be ruled out.


Sunday
Rain in the far northwest of Spain on Sunday but for the rest of Iberia the day is going to be dry with sunny spells. Fine too in the Balearics with more sunshine and warm weather here. Showers or longer spells of rain and thunderstorms affecting Italy whilst Greece and Turkey should be fair with plenty of sunshine here.
Western France is going to be cloudy with some outbreaks of rain, whilst much of the country should be dry and sunny after a misty start. Broken cloud through the Low Countries and Germany, although cloud and some rain affect Poland, especially the east. Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland will have cloud and outbreaks of rain.
High pressure over Finland is controlling the weather of northern Europe. A strong easterly breeze through Denmark and Norway as well as much of southern Sweden. Breezy too in Finland and dry whilst fine conditions affect northern Norway and Finland.
