Consecutive low pressure systems will bring heavy downpours across much of the Mediterranean while it should remain dry, cold and rather settled everywhere else


Monday
Unsettled weather through much of the Mediterranean on Monday as low pressure develops over the Balearic Sea. Rain and heavy, possibly thundery, showers for eastern Spain, the Balearics, Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily, Italy and the Balkans. Greece and Turkey should remain largely dry though cloud will build throughout the day as low pressure moves eastward.
A dry and bright day for most of France though cloud will build from the northeast through the day. Cloudy for Benelux, Germany and Poland with some light rain and snow showers possible in the north.
Cloudy too for Denmark with rain in the south. The Baltics will also be cloudy for much of Monday. Dry and bright for Finland, northern Sweden and Norway. Southern Sweden will remain cloudy with a chance of some light wintry showers.

Tuesday
Remaining unsettled through the Mediterranean on Tuesday as a new area of low pressure develops Iberia and the existing area pushes east over Italy, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey. Rain and heavy showers for parts of Portugal and Spain which will fall as snow on higher ground. The Balearics, Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily, Italy and the Balkans will also see some heavy showers develop. Greece and Turkey will have a largely fine day but heavy showers could develop by the evening - particularly for western coastal regions.
A cloudy day for much of France, the Low Countries and Germany with a chance of wintry showers in northern and central France and central Germany.
A cloudy but dry day for Denmark while the Baltics will see cloud increasing from the northeast throughout the day. A cloudy but dry day for southern Finland and Sweden while it will remain dry and bright in Norway.
