Mist and fog, dry central and southern Europe, rain to north


Today
High pressure centred around the Bay of Biscay keeps west and central Europe dry with quiet weather conditions. Pleasantly warm for Spain and Portugal, close to 20C in the south-west. Some fog and low cloud for the Low Countries and Germany, but some sunshine too.
A fresher breeze for the Alps and southern France. Patchy rain and snow for eastern Poland and western Ukraine. Italy, the Balkans and Greece will be dry with sunshine. Largely dry for Scandinavia, although rain and mountain snow moves into western Norway later.

Saturday
Fair, sunny spells and dry for Portugal and most of Spain, although low cloud and drizze over the northern coasts of Spain. Good spells of sunshine in the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Italy and Greece will have sunny spells and should be dry. Turkey should be dry with further spells of sunshine.
Sunny spells and dry in France. Broken cloud in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Dry with sunny spells in Luxemburg and Germany. Poland will have some rain in the east but dry in the west. Hungary will have cloud and some patchy rain while Austria and Switzerland should be dry with sunny spells.
Breezy with sunny spells in Denmark. Sweden will have sunny spells and should be dry too. Denmark and Finland should be bright and dry with sunny spells. Breezy with cloud and rain on Norway.
