Fine and mild in much of central and southern Europe, increasingly showery in Iberia


Wednesday
An area of high pressure becomes established, centred over the Czech Republic. This will bring a dry, settled day for much of central Europe. It will be a dry and warm day for Portugal and western Spain though southern and eastern coastal regions of Spain could see some isolated heavy showers developing. It will remain cloudy for eastern Spain and the Balearics though high temperatures will reach 18 to 23C. Cloudy but dry for Italy with the best of the sun in the south again on Tuesday. Dry and bright for Greece and western Turkey though eastern parts of Turkey will see heavy rain and snow over higher ground.
A dry day for France, Benelux, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic with varying amounts of cloud. The best of the sun will be in southern France where highs will reach 21C. Denmark, the Baltics and Norway will start Tuesday cloudy then rain will move in later in the afternoon. Cloud will increase over Sweden throughout the day though the rain won't reach western parts of the country until the evening. High temperatures will reach 10 to 12C over Scandinavia, 6 to 10C for the Baltics.

Thursday
Heavy showers affecting eastern Spain today. The showers also in the south of Spain and western Portugal. Northern Spain and northern Portugal should be dry with sunny spells. Rai and showers in the Balearics whilst Corsica, Sardinia and Italy should be dry with sunny spells. Scattered showers and sunny spells in Greece as well as northern Turkey.
Fair and sunny in most of France as wel as warm here. A few showers affecting the far south of France. The Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland will be dry and mild with good spells of sunshine. Staying fair in Austria and Switzerland as well as Hungary.
Fair with lots of sunshine in Denmark. Fair too in the Baltic States as well as Finland with good spells of sunshine. Staying fair and sunny in Sweden. Fine for southern Norway but some wind, cloud and rain in northern Norway.
