Tuesday
Low pressure passes eastwards across southern Britain & Ireland. Patchy rain will affect central and southern counties much of the day, then heavier and more persistent rain spreads from the south-west through the day, reaching south-east England by evening. Windy around the English Channel. A few slow moving showers for northern Britain, but also dry and sunny spells. Largely dry for Northern Ireland. Highs 17 to 21C, cooler in rain.

Tuesday night
Heavy rain continues for south & south-east England, accompanied by strong winds, locally gusting gale force around some exposed coasts and headlands. Rain becomes confined to the far south-east by dawn. North & western Britain and Ireland will be dry with skies clearing. Any residual showers for the Scottish Highlands will fade. Around 11 to 14C in the south-east, but lows 7 to 10C in the north-west, locally cooler Scottish glens.

Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure builds from the west, bringing a fair day to many places. Good spells of sunshine. Low pressure over the Low Countries moves away eastwards during the day, but may result in early rain in south-east England. Chance of an isolated shower by afternoon. Winds becoming light, but windy in the south-east at first, and staying breezy near eastern coasts. Feeling fresh, highs 16 to 19C north & west, 20 to 22C south & east.

Thursday
Low pressure to the north of Scotland pushes fronts across northern Britain. Fairly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain for the north & west, locally persistent over the hills. A few showers possible elsewhere, likely drifting north-eastwards across central-northern England. The south & south-east will stay frequently dry. A fresh westerly breeze, strongest in the north-west. Highs 15 to 20C, locally up to 23C in the south-east.
