A mixed weekend

Saturday
Cloud and outbreaks of rain across Ireland and northern England as well as Scotland. Most of the rain will be light although a few moderate bursts over northwest Wales and northwest England. Tending to be drier in southern and central England and Wales with some bright spells breaking through. The afternoon sees more spells of sunshine across much of England and Wales, although some heavy and showery bursts of rain in central and northern Scotland. A band of rain passes eastwards through Ireland with this rain reaching southwest Wales and southwest England by the evening. Breezy in the west with highs at 19C in eastern England, 14C in western Scotland.


Saturday Night
A band of showery rain passing eastwards through Saturday night across Scotland, England and Wales. Drier weather follows from the west although there could be a few showers in Ireland. A chilly night in more western areas. Lows near 5 to 8C.

 
 
 


Sunday
Showery rain clears from eastern Scotland and eastern England early in the morning. Much brighter skies affecting other areas with good spells of sunshine for many. It should be dry too for most although there is a chance of a shower over high ground. Thicker cloud moves into Ireland and southwest Wales as well as southwest England in the afternoon. Winds increase here too later in the day. Highs at 16 to 20C.


Monday
A moist southwesterly flow affects all parts of the UK and Ireland on Monday. This brings wind and rain through Ireland and into western and northern parts of the UK. Windy here to with the rain heavy at times on western coasts and hills. Drier across southeast England with a fair amount of cloud but some brighter spells here as well. Gales may affect Ireland and western coasts and hills. Highs at 15 to 19C.
