Sunday
An improvement in the weather is expected today as a cell of high pressure dominates much of Britain. There will be occasional showers across north western parts of Scotland. Brisk north west winds across Scotland will be lessening during the course of the day. Much of England and Wales will be fine and dry with sunny spells though more cloud in the north west. Fine with sunny spells too across Northern Ireland. Expect maximums of 8 to 10 Celsius.

Sunday night
Showers across north west Scotland tend to fade through the evening with all parts of the country fine and dry with clear skies across the south. During the night more cloud comes into the west with an area of light rain running in across Cornwall and Devon. Dry for the rest of Britain. A chilly night with a touch of frost across rural, central and eastern parts of Britain along with some fog patches. Expect minimum temperatures of 2 to 8 Celsius.

Monday
Morning fog patches disperse as a south to south westerly wind picks up. The eastern half of England and Scotland will have a fair amount of hazy sunshine this morning. Cloudy in the west with outbreaks of rain. This rain area is going to spread eastwards into all but East Anglia and the south east of England during the afternoon. For southern Scotland, England and Wales it's looking wet through the evening and most of the night. The rain clears Northern Ireland and northern Scotland tonight as it turns cooler. Expect top temperatures of 6 to 11 Celsius.

Tuesday
Mild in the south, cooler in the north. Outbreaks of rain across eastern Scotland and the eastern half of England clear during the morning but staying cloudy. Mainly dry in the west in the morning but some light rain to come for the afternoon. Quite breezy for the evening and the night. Generally a cloudy, mild night with sporadic outbreaks of rain. This may turn more persistent across Northern Ireland. Look for high temperatures of 7 to 12 Celsius.
