Thundery rain
Drier to south

Saturday
An area of showery, thundery rain is going to be passing north through Ireland this morning as well as Wales, northern and central England. Drier but breezy weather follows into southern Ireland, Wales and southern England bringing sunny spells this afternoon. At the same time Scotland will become wetter with the thundery rain arriving, the heaviest in the west. Highs at 27C in southern England, turning fresher fro the west at 19C in Ireland.


Saturday Night
Periods of thundery rain will be clearing from Scotland tonight, although there could still be some rain in the far northeast. Elsewhere it is going to be a drier and fresher night. Skies will be clear in places with temperatures falling to 8 to 12C.

 
 
 


Sunday
An area of high pressure is going to be centred over western Scotland on Sunday. This is going to be bringing a dry day for most. There will be some reasonable spells of sunshine, the best of these in central and southern areas. Any rain in the north of Scotland clearing in the morning and becoming dry. Later in the day thundery showers will reach southern England, edging slowly north. Highs at 15C in northern Scotland, 26C in southeast England.


Bank Holiday Monday
A small area of low pressure brings and area of thundery rain into England, Wales and much of Ireland on Monday. Some bursts of rain may be heavy. Scotland should start the day dry with sunny spells although a few thunderstorms arriving in central and southern Scotland in the afternoon. Warm in the far south at 25C but 16 to 19C elsewhere.
