A dry day across the country. Widespread, dense freezing fog patches are expected this morning across north east, central and southern parts of England. This will be slow to clear to sunny spells, lingering in some places into the afternoon. Dry with sunny spells across Scotland and northern parts of England. More cloud affects Wales, south west England and Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 3 to 7 Celsius.


Monday Night
It becomes windy and cloudy across Northern Ireland and Scotland through the evening and night. Rain reaches Northern Ireland and The Western Isles in the night. With clear skies and lighter winds, expect a widespread frost overnight across southern parts of England and Wales along with a few dense patches of freezing fog. Expect minimum temperatures of -2 to 3 Celsius.


Tuesday
It remains windy across northern parts of Britain today. An area of persistent rain across Northern Ireland and western Scotland turns more patchy and light as it drifts towards north west England and western Wales later in the afternoon. Patchy rain affects Northern Ireland and western Scotland into the night as the winds become strong, gusting to gale force across the Northern Isles. Cold in the south tonight with a frost confined to south east England. Expect top temperatures of 4 to 9 Celsius.


Wednesday
Very windy across northern and western areas today with gales gusts of 60-70 mph will affect north west Scotland later. Western parts of the country will have more in the way of cloud but it's a dry day. Central and eastern areas will have the best of the sunshine. It continues dry through the evening and the night and with a strong wind, it should be frost free but cold. Look for high temperatures of 3 to 8 Celsius.
