Dry for many Saturday
Rain in north Sunday

Saturday
Dry with spells of sunshine for many, best in eastern counties early morning, then cloud filling in during the day. Showers for north-western regions, moving inland from the coasts in the morning - snow on the mountains. Scattered showers also breaking out for east & north-eastern Britain by afternoon. A cool west to north-westerly breeze, strongest in north. Highs 9 or 10C north & west, 11 to 13C south & east.

Saturday night
Many places will be dry into the night, with cloud breaking to give clear skies, most widely across central & eastern regions. Fronts moving in from the Atlantic will bring cloud to the north-west, and rain will develop for Northern Ireland & western Scotland, becoming persistent before dawn. A light westerly breeze, freshening around western coasts. Temperatures dipping to 1 to 4C; risk a slight frost for rural areas inland.

Easter Sunday
A weak frontal system pushes across northern-central Britain from the north-west. Rain most persistent for Northern Ireland, south-west Scotland & north-west England. Patchy rain or drizzle reaches the Midlands and eastern counties through the day, but amounts small. Southern England should stay dry all day - sunshine giving way to thickening cloud. A fresh westerly breeze. Temperatures 9 to 12C north, 13 to 15C south.

Monday
A weakening cold front clears away southwards from southern Britain, leaving a chilly northerly flow across the country. High pressure to the north-west of Britain brings plenty of sunshine across western regions, where it should stay dry. Showers affect eastern Britain, locally frequent and heavy. Snow over the hills, to low levels in northern Scotland. Cool, just 8 to 13C, warmest south coast.
