A breezy morning for all parts of the UK and Ireland. Rain is affecting central and western Scotland as well as Ireland. The rain heavy in southern and eastern Ireland where there will be gales too. Bits of rain over the hills of Wales and southwest England but dry elsewhere with some good spells of sunshine in the east. The afternoon remains windy with gales on southern and western coasts. Rain into much of southern and western Scotland, reaching western Wales and southwest England as well as eastern Ireland. Showers and brighter weather follows to Ireland. Drier and brighter in the east with sunny spells remaining here. Tops near 16 to 23C.

Saturday Night
The band of rain edges slowly eastwards overnight. This rain could be heavy in Scotland and western parts of England and Wales. East Anglia and the southeast staying dry. Drier weather into Ireland and western Scotland, reaching western Wales and western England later. A few showers for western Ireland and western Scotland. Temperatures falling to around 8 to 12C.
 

Sunday
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Sunday morning. This pushes a front eastwards which will be affecting much of eastern and central England. Showerier weather follows the front, although there could be a fair amount of cloud throughout the day in much of Ireland, and the west of Wales and western England. Becoming brighter further east in the afternoon. Highs at 14 to 18C so feeling cooler for all.

Monday
A weak ridge of high pressure builds on Monday. This brings a dry day in central and eastern England, although western and southern areas are likely to have more cloud and the risk of some showery outbreaks of rain. More persistent rain may affect western Scotland with low pressure to the northwest. heavy periods of rain as low pressure arrives in western Ireland, winds increasing here too. Temperatures at 14 to 19C.
