Tuesday
A cold day ahead as rain affects central, eastern and southern areas of England this morning. This rain will be clearing east fairly quickly, eventually getting away from the coasts of Kent by midday. Heavy showers will be affecting western, central and southern Scotland with some snow on the hills. Showers too in Northern Ireland and again a few of them heavy. Elsewhere it should be drier and brighter with good spells of sunshine, although feeling cooler as the afternoon progresses. Heavier and more persistent showers affecting the far north of England as well as the west and south of Scotland, but drier and brighter to the east. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Tuesday Night
A chilly night in a brosk northwesterly wind, this bringing scattered showers to eastern Scotland and eastern England. Drier to the west and south with clearer skies. There could be a few showers in western and northern Scotland as well as northwest England, the Midlands and Wales. Lows at 3 to 7C.
 

Wednesday
Low pressure heads towards Denmark on Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure builds over Ireland and the west of the UK. Breezy and cold over eastern England with the risk of some showers and the chance of more persistent rain in eastern parts of Norfolk and Suffolk. Further west it will be brighter with lots of sunshine, although a few showers may affect the north and west coasts of Wales. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Thursday
Another cold day as low pressure brings showers to East Anglia and southeast England. Higher pressure extending across Ireland, northern and west parts of the UK. Plenty of sunshine to the north and west and remaining dry as well. Increasing cloud and some spots of rain may affect the Hebrides and the far west of Ireland. Highs at 11 to 14C.
