A dry day across much of England and Wales. There cold be a few fog patches in the far east but these clearing quickly. It is then going to be cloudy overall, although a few bright spells may develop here and there especially over southwest England, mid Wales and northeast England. Mostly cloudy and breezy for Ireland and Scotland with the risk of some morning patchy rain over the hills of southwest Scotland. More persistent rain in western Ireland as the winds reach gale force here and into western Scotland. Highs at 5C in the east, 10C in southwest Ireland.


Wednesday Night
Dry across much of eastern England tonight with clear skies giving a widespread frost. Strong winds and cloud with outbreaks of rain in Ireland and western Scotland. Drier elsewhere. Lows at -2C in southeast England, 6C in Ireland and western Scotland.

 
 
 


Thursday
High pressure to the east on Thursday with high pressure to the west. Cloud, strong winds and outbreaks of rain in Ireland with a risk of gales here too. Windy in southwest England, Wales and western Scotland with a fair amount of cloud. The cloud is going to be more broken further east with dry weather and sunny spells developing here. A cold day in that wind with highs of just 2 to 4C in much of England, eastern Wales and eastern Scotland. Milder to the west at 7 to 9C.


Friday
Low pressure remains to the west with high pressure to the east. Cloud and outbreaks of rain in Ireland and the far southwest of England as well as western Scotland. Drier in the east with some sunny spells at first. The cloud is going to be increasing here and this brings the threat of some patchy rain into southern England later. Slightly milder at 4 to 8C.
