Showers in east

Wednesday
A cold day to come across all parts of the UK and Ireland. Eastern areas will be breezy with cloud and some showers blowing in off the sea at times. Little change is expected this afternoon with further showers from time to time. More western and southern areas will be drier and brighter with sunny spells, although feeling chilly here too. Temperatures reaching 12 to 14C.

Wednesday Night
A cool night in more western areas where clearing skies could allow a touch of ground frost to form by the morning. More eastern parts of Scotland and England, as well as the Midlands, southern and southwest England are likely to be breezier with the risk of some showers affecting eastern coasts once again. A scattered of showers could trouble the far west of Wales and the northern coasts of Cornwall too. Lows at 2 to 7C.

Thursday
Low pressure is going to be centred over northwest Germany on Thursday. This blow fronts into eastern England which will be bringing showers at times. Further west and south it is going to be brighter with some sunny spells developing. Little change is expected in the afternoon with showers or outbreaks of rain continuing on eastern coasts, although drier to the west. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Friday
A ridge of high pressure extends through much of the UK and Ireland on Friday. Low pressure to the east continues to feed showers onto eastern coasts thanks to the northeast wind. Brighter and drier to the west with sunny spells. Thicker cloud and some spots of drizzle affecting western Ireland and western Scotland. Chilly for all at 11 to 14C.
