Heavy showers in Mediterranean

Today
Cool and damp with rain across Britain today. Cold but sunny and dry across France but with strong north west gales across southern France through Sardinia. Expect some showers across Denmark but dry across Holland and Belgium. Most of Germany will be good and sunny. An area of snow is expected from Russia across Belarus, southern Poland into Austria and this looks heavy over the Alps. Rain though is likely from southern Russia across the Ukraine into Romania, the Czech Republic with heavy showers across Greece, most of Italy and the central Mediterranean. Mainly dry and warm across Turkey. Quite chilly but mainly dry and sunny across Portugal and Spain. Lots of dry, sunny weather to come across Norway, Sweden and Finland but cold. Cold too and dry across the Baltic States and northern Poland.

Monday
Damp across England today with rain into Belgium, The Netherlands into Demark and southern Sweden. Expect snow across northern Sweden and parts of Norway with much of Finland fair and dry. Another dry day across France and less windy in the south. A windy day in the central and eastern Mediterranean with southerly gales in the Aegean Sea. Frequent, heavy showers will affect an area from Sardinia across Italy into Greece, the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Continued dry across Turkey. Most of Germany is expected to be dry as will Poland, The Baltic States, Belarus and Russia. Snow is forecast across the Czech Republic into Austria and over the Alps with rain across Romania, Hungry and the Ukraine. Continued dry and sunny across Spain and Portugal but cold.
