Heavy showers, windy in Mediterranean

Today
Cold and windy but dry and sunny across England. A wet day across France with spells of heavy rain. Expect sunshine and showers across Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Heavy snow showers are forecast across Norway and Sweden with outbreaks of snow across Finland, the Baltic States and Russia. Rain to come across southern Germany but dry in the north with lots of sunshine. A very wet, chilly day across Portugal and Spain with heavy rain and showers and showers extend east across the Balearics into Sardinia with rain for northern Italy, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. Dry across southern parts of Italy across into the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Hungry, Romania and Greece with long sunny spells. Heavy showers will affect eastern Turkey with the west dry and sunny.

Colder across Europe with an area of moderate to heavy snow expected from Belarus into southern parts of Poland and Germany into eastern France. Heavy rain is forecast from the Czech Republic into Austria, Switzerland into southern France and northern Italy with heavy showers across southern Italy and across the western and central Mediterranean. Cold with rain for Portugal and Spain with snow possible across northern Spain this evening. Rain and heavy showers will also affect Greece and the former Yugoslavia. Lots of dry sunny weather to come across Turkey with more cloud by dry into Bulgaria, Hungry and Romania. Rain and snow is expected across western parts of the Ukraine with the east dry and sunnier. A few showers to come across northern parts of France with heavy showers for Belgium and Holland. Cold but dry and sunny across Norway and Sweden with a few snow showers across parts of Finland. Heavy snow is forecast across northern Russia. Very windy with strong south west winds in the Mediterranean today.
