Fairer to the south

Breezy with sleet and snow for Scandinavia, but fairer conditions further south

Tuesday
Most of Britain looks dry today. Lots of showers to come across northern and central parts of France but dry and sunny in the south. Fine across Belgium and Holland into southern parts off Germany while showers are forecast for Denmark, northern >Germany, Finland and southern Sweden. Continued cold but dry and sunny across Norway and northern Sweden. A wet day with rain across the Baltic States and across southern Russia with sunshine and showers across the Ukraine.
Rain may affect the far north of Poland but most of the country looks dry and sunny. Some light rain comes into Austria and the Czech Republic in the afternoon. Fair and dry across the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece with most of Turkey dry as well. A few heavy showers will be found in the eastern Mediterranean and across the far south of Italy. Dry in the north and across Corsica, Sardinia, the Balearics into Spain and Portugal.



Wednesday
Cloud and some drizzle in the far west of Portugal today. For the rest of Portugal and Spain the day will be fine with plenty of sunshine. More sunshine in the western mediterranean, although heavy showers will be affecting Italy and Greece. More heavy showers through Turkey.
Cloud and some spots of rain in northern France. Fair through the Low Countries and most of Germany, although cloud and some rain affects southern Germany. Cloud and some spots of rain through Austria and Hungary although Switzerland should be dry with sunny spells.
Showers affecting Denmark, with some cloud and spots of rain in western Norway. More cloud and rain across Sweden. The Baltic States and Finland will be breezy with cloud and periods of rain, this turning to snow.
