Fine across the Mediterranean

Today
A very windy and unsettled day to come across the United Kingdom and France with strong gales along with heavy rain and heavy showers. Heavy rain to is expected across Belgium, Holland, Denmark and the far north of Germany. Most of southern Germany will be fair and dry with heavy showers across the Alps and across northern parts of Italy. Southern parts of Italy be fair and mainly dry with just the isolated shower. Cold but mainly dry across Norway and Sweden. An early rain soon clears from Finland leaving a dry, mostly sunny day. Outbreaks of heavy rain are expected across Russia again today and this will extend across the Baltic States into parts of Belarus. Most of Poland be fair and dry with sunny spells and this dry, sunny weather will extend across into the Czech Republic, Austria, the former Yugoslavia, all of the Ukraine, Romania and down into Greece and Turkey. Occasional showers are expected across Portugal and north western parts of Spain, otherwise a dry day across Iberia with sunny spells and occasional cloud. Quite windy across the western Mediterranean today with a strong mistral across southern France. Strong west wind will be blowing through the Straits of Gibraltar and gales will also effect the North Sea today.

Continued very windy and unsettled across Britain, The Low Countries and France with gusty winds as well across Spain and the western Mediterranean. Rain and showers are expected across Britain, northern France, Belgium, Holland and Denmark with rain across Sweden. Cold and windy across Norway with rain and snow showers. Most of Spain looks sunny and dry with rain across Portugal. Scattered showers will be around the Balearics today but sunny and dry from Sardinia into Italy. Lots of warm sunshine to come across Greece, Turkey, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Romania. Just a few showers are expected across The Ukraine, Austria and Slovenia. Fine and dry across the Czech Republic into Poland and Belarus with showers forecast across the Baltic States. Mainly dry across Finland. Northern parts of Germany may catch some heavy showers with central and southern Germany dry and mostly sunny. A wet day across Russia.
