Wednesday
A complex area of low pressure over the west of the British Isles today. There will be rain this morning across northern England, the Midlands and central southern England. This rain will be passing eastwards through the morning and into the early part of this afternoon. Rain should clear eastern coasts of east Anglia by early afternoon. Further rain affecting central and northern Scotland, this edging northwards. Showers will be following through Ireland, Wales and western England this morning, a few of them heavy. The showers then spreading eastwards, a few of them thundery but with most affecting western coasts and hills. Sunny spells between the showers for all. Highs at 15 to 20C.

Wednesday Night
The low slips east overnight. This is going to be taking some heavy showers with it across much of England and Wales. The showers will be merging into longer spells of rain at times, especially over Scotland and northern England. Drier weather following through Ireland and these slipping into the west of Wales, England and Scotland later in the night. A windy night for many especially in the east. Lows at 6 to 9C.

Thursday
A breezy and a cool day with a brisk nothwest wind across the UK and Ireland. A ridge of high pressure builds through Ireland with low pressure over western Norway. An occluded front over eastern Scotland brings some cloud and outbreaks of rain here. Showery troughs slip south through England and Wales taking some heavy showers withu them. A tendency for drier weaher to edge into the north in the afternoon with sunny spells developing, the best of them always in the west. Highs at 12 to 19C.

Friday
High pressure will be to the southwest of England on Friday. A brisk westerly flow developing over Scotland as a warm front moves east. The front will be bringing lots of cloud and some outbreaks of rain to Scotland, most of them in the north and west. Drizzle and rain for northern and western Ireland too, although the south and east should be drier and brighter. For England and Wales it is going to be a brighter morning with good spells of sunshine. High cloud increasing in the north of England and Wales making the sunshine hazy, but then this thickening in the afteroon with a few spotsw of rain for northwest England and northern Wales by evening. Highs at 14 to 19C.
