Friday Cloud and rain affecting much of southern Ireland, central and northern Wales as well as the northern Midlands through this morning. Brighter over southern England with a few sunny spells, but also showers here. Some bright spells in the far north of England and southern Scotland, but cloud and rain affecting central and eastern Scotland. This afternoon sees the rain persisteing across northern Wales and the north Midlands. Shwers to the south becoming heavy and thundery. Mor rain over central and eastern Scotland with sunshine and scattered showers elsewhere. Highs at 19C in the far south of England, 12C in northern Scotland.
Friday Night More cloud and outbreaks of rain and showers across much of England and Wales overnight. This could become heavy at times, especially in central and eastern areas. Mor western parts of Wales and England will have lighter rain. Drier weather moving into Scotland and northern England as well as Ireland, with some clear skies developing. Lows at 2C in parts of northern England, 5 to 10C for most.
Saturday An unstable northwesterly flow through the country on Saturday. There will be frequent and heavy thundery showers affecting all areas. These showers may well become more scatered and light over northern and western parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland later in the day. Most of the showers tending to be through more central and southern parts of England. Highs at 13 to 18C.
Sunday Sunday looks set to be the best day of the weekend for most of the UK and Ireland as a ridge of high pressure builds from the west. There will be good spells of sunshine in the morning, and only a scattering of showers in northern Scotland. Cloud increasing in Ireland in the afternoon bringing some rain here later. Elsewjhere it should be staying dry with more spells of sunshine. Highs at 14 to 21C.
