Thursday A windy morning across Ireland, southwest England and Wales as an area of cloud and rain moves into these areas. More northern and eastern parts of the country are going to be drier and brighter with some sunny spells coming through. However, there could be a few showers across Northern Ireland and northern England at anytime. The afternoon sees the rain becoming more persistent in Ireland, Wales and southwest England. This rain arrives in southeast England and the western Midlands by the evening. Outbreaks of rain and showers in southern and western Scotland, but the north and east should be dry with more sunny spells. Dry too for eastern England with further sunny spells here. Highs at 18C in southeast England, 11C in northern Scotland. Winds reaching severe gale force in Ireland and western parts of the UK.
Thursday Night A windy night with severe gales in western parts of Wales and England as well as the west and south of Scotland together with Ireland. Becoming wet for all but the far north of Scotland as a heavy area of rain tracks northwards. The focus for the heavy rain is through Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and northern England. Later in the night conditions turn more showery in the far south of England, a few of these heavy. Highs at 4C in central Scotland, 11C in southern England.
Friday A deep area of low pressure will be over southern Ireland on Friday. A front wrapped around the low brings further rain, heavy at times, across northern England and southern Scotland together with much of Ireland and southwest England. Heavy showers for the rest of England and Wales. A windy morning with severe gales in the west and southern Scotland. The afternoon sees the heavier and more persistent rain across much of Ireland, Wales, southwest and northwest England as well as the Midlands. Further rain in much of Scotland as well as Ireland. Brighter spells may develop in the eastern Midlands and East Anglia where there will; be showers too. Highs at 7C in central Scotland, 16C in southeast England.
Saturday An area of low pressure across southern Scotland on Saturday. An occluded front will surround the low bringing cloud and periods of rain to Scotland as well as eastern half of Ireland. Further rain through Wales and parts of northern England, where there will be heavy showers too. More rain in the northern and central parts of Wales and the Midlands. Southern parts of England and Wales will have a mix of sunny spells and heavy showers as well as being windy with gale force gusts. Highs at 16C in southern England, 10C in northern Scotland.
